Nokia Morph Concept

Nokia’s morphable, meltable, shape-shifting nanotech display. Concept.
Nokia’s new Morph concept phone would use nanotechnology to give it a flexible body with a transparent display that could be re-shaped depending on the user’s needs, a far cry from today’s solid and chunky devices. Even the electronics inside it would be transparent and flexible, so the whole phone may be twisted and stretched into bracelet shapes or tablet form, and nanotech cleverness means it would even clean itself.

BYU Industrial Design Majors Present Dell “Ultra Mobile” PCs and Mity-Lite Chairs

Brigham Young University industrial design students presented their concepts for a potential line of “ultra mobile” Dell computers on Dec. 17 as part of their final exam for their “studio” class. The machines were meant to be incorporated into users’ everyday lives, the students told their audience, which included two retired Dell managers and current Dell executives listening via conference call.
Designers interviewed bicycle police officers to gather information for a concept aimed at the military, outdoor enthusiasts and others who want to use computers in “hostile environments.” Another team aimed at college students, for whom they conceived a two-screened machine that can open like a book, or rotate into a tablet, and features an on-screen keyboard. Other markets targeted were young adults and creative professionals such as musicians.

There are all sorts of mobile chargers out there, but this is about the most compact, ludite friendly, and neatly designed one we’ve ever seen. Consisting of a sleek blue metal tube, you simply pop in an AA battery and plug it into your phone for an extra two hours talk time. It’s so simple, you can get hold of an AA battery no matter where you are one the planet, it’s small and smooth and comes with four different adaptors, so will charge a whole host of different phones. Great design, excellent idea and as cheap as cod and chips.
Features
* Highly portable, instant phone charger.
* A powerful charging with a single AA battery gives you up to 2 hrs extra talking time.
* The charging time is the same as for your mains pluggable charger and may very dependently of your handset.
