Rolleiflex MiniDigi AF 5.0

Very cool digital camera from Rolleiflex, awesome classic styling. The MiniDigi AF 5.0 is a three-inch high, fully functional digicam replica of the original classic twin reflex camera.

Rolleiflex introduced the original MiniDigi in 2006, but it quickly sold out. The new MiniDigi AF 5.0, which is is available with a red or black casing, has been given some significant performance upgrades, including a 5 MB image file from a 3MP CMOS sensor, autofocus, and a very clear 1.1 inch TFT monitor, located at the top of the camera as it is on the full-sized Rolleiflex TLR.

Pei-Hua Huang is an Industrial Design grad of NC State University. “What You See Is What You Get” is Huang’s latest concept project. As the name implies, the medium-format film camera has not one, not two, but three lenses, each positioned at a specific offset from the others.

Due to a flapping-mechanism the “FLAPcam” provides many features of existing cameras in a completly new way and even adds new ones. If it’s folded up, the lens, diplay and buttons are protected against dirt and scratches. Depending on how much the camera is flipped open the user can either make photos of himself or take photos from above (e.g. at live concerts). The innovative way of use of the FLAPcam is supported by an unusual visual language that encourages the user to interact with the camera in a playful way.

The i7 is Samsung’s latest ultra-portable digital camera. The most glorious feature of this camera resides on its backside. The 3-inch LCD screen can rotate 180 degrees for uh… I don’t really know why. I guess you can just look at your vertical pictures a little larger. In addition to this crazy LCD, the i7 has a 7.2-megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, 1600 ISO support, advanced shake reduction (ASR) and support for MP3s. Jump for a picture of the i7’s frontside.
