Hechima 4 By Ryuji Nakamura

Made from paper(vulcanized fibre t2.4) and designed by Ryuji Nakamura, a Tokyo-based architect, Hechima 4 looks light + airy for a chair yet it is a comfortably strong, judging from the way the model relax herself on it. The chair came in 900 x 900 x 750 (W x D x H).

The Ecopod is a compressed recycled paper coffin designed by Hazel Selina. The Ecopod along with the Acorn urn are made from 100% recycled paper and a natural earth based mineral hardener. They are completely biodegradable just like you (unless you’re pumped full of embalming fluids)! You can have your Ecopod silk screened with designs such as doves or a Celtic cross.

designer Simon Joyau created an origami inspired chair simply called the “Paper Chair”. Made entirely of recyclable plastics, the Paper Chair becomes a little rocker when tipped over - sort of an abstract horesy for your kids to enjoy. It’s just a concept but not anything far outside the realm of immediate possibility.

Designer Miquel Mora looks at the new techniques of printing electronics and wonders “What if we could ‘enhance’ paper instead of getting rid of it? What if we could merge the printed world with the digital one?” He says “Through printed electronics we can create processors, displays, batteries on flat and flexible surfaces like paper.
