The Cloud House by seeks inspiration from the ethereal, with shapes resembling one of the most astounding elements of nature.

Cloud house is a proposal for a vacation home. The shape of the cloud was found on the internet, in Rafael Rozendaal’s www.whywashesad.com but the idea comes from growing up in the Greek summer landscape of semi abandoned and unfinished haphazardly constructed concrete domino frames. Based on Le Corbusier’s idea for fast and flexible housing, the Domino frame on pilotis populated the south Mediterranean landscape as the perfect post war solution.

It’s a concept for a Mediterranean holiday retreat. The architecture is designed to keep temperatures comfortable in the hot months.

One of the most eco-friendly materials on the market right now is bamboo which comes from shoots and is the fastest growing wood known. Laut used the sustainable plant to create the cell phone he called Chute, aptly named after shoots of the plant.

The Chute Smartphone is all about the natural, organic, and moody. In addition to being good for the environment, the look and feel of bamboo is just much more calming and organic than cold steel or plastics.
