Logitech’s MX Air

The MX Air works both on the desk and air. Similar to the way people use a remote to control a television, when holding the MX Air mouse, you can now lean back and relax while navigating the computer and enjoying media content. If you’ve played with Nintendo’s Wii, the technology is near identical.

Aesthetically the MX Air is sleek and unlike any other Logitech mice. It’s devoid of intricate curves for thumb rests and the like. Instead, it follows the “less is more” mantra. The aerodynamic slope makes the MX Air appear to fly, which is the point since it contains gyroscopes to work in the air. The top surface is made of shiny plastic; the belly is plated in metal. There’s an on/off switch just above the optical sensor to conserve power and the whole thing is wireless.

This steampunk mouse was made by modder Unklian. As you can see it’s got all the requisite copper and wood flair. But one thing it has that you don’t always see in steampunk designs — a steam producing furnace! When connected to the computer the mouse’s orange LEDs light up to give the coal a nice fiery glow.

Made of lightweight modelling clay and covered with a nylon and polyurethane blend fabric, Moldable Mouse can be kneaded into shapes by users.

The USB Mouse Calculator number Pad (phew….breath!) is a great idea though! Gone are the days of sitting at your desk with tonnes of paperwork and you desperately need your calculator but you have just realised it’s underneath the paper work you have been working on for the past 3 hours. You pick the paperwork up, grab your calculator, then your dog rushes under your feet to chase the local cat, knocks you over and the paperwork that you had in chronological order goes flying all over the house, wasting the past 3 hours you have just spent on it!

Lomak (light operated mouse and keyboard) is designed for people that have difficulty with, or are unable to use, a standard computer keyboard and mouse. A hand or head pointer controls a beam of light that highlights then confirms the key or mouse functions on the keyboard. By confirming each key, only the correct selection is entered, which reduces errors and increases input speed.

Apparently the latest drool worthy design gadget from Logitech is the MX Air Mouse.attempt to bridge the gap between mouse and remote control with a touch-sensitive scroll-panel (instead of a scroll wheel) and a dedicated pause/play and volume control.
