Pixel Couch

Royal College of Art graduate (UK) Cristian Zuzunaga has devised a fabric based on a ‘pixel’ concept, which is being produced by Danish manufacturer Kvadrat and sold through Moroso.

Project COMMUNITY SOFA is just about game, playing. Sofa makes community of people closer to each other. This project is about to hold friends, colleges, family together and let them to know more about them. We can change lounge places in work a bit, with places for communication and relax.

This wine jug furniture was made as an example by Wine Company Carlo Rossi to motivate its customers to make something out of its wine jugs. The inviting Cabernet Couch has been made from 33 empty Cabernet jugs and a vintage corduroy futon mattress. It’s the latest member in the Carlo Rossi Jug Simple Collection. Moreover, the neon-under glow will liven up your living room for sure.

So you get a couple of interlocking pieces that stiffen at the pull of a wire cable. By manipulating the tension, you can make all kinds of crazy shapes strong enough to act as shelving, seating, or flooring. It’s a little blah looking but crafty people might enjoy decorating each slat, maybe to form a mural or to create random flowing patterns depending on the final form.

serious cocooning and is the closest you can get to weightlessness. The upholstery in the Wing Chair is made by open cell visco elastic memory foam, developed by NASA and used in all spacecrafts.

At first glance, this bed appears to be a cushioned platform in front a headboard consisting of two colorful, if oddly shaped, windows. But look closely and you will see what I missed at first - the headboard is meant to represent a couple kissing. Now, that is a romantic bed. Designed by Italian architect and artist Gaetano Pesce, the European double bed is made from resin panels, joined together with nylon pins.

designer Stefano Bigi designed a collection of furniture that cleverly hid extra seating inside its body. The fruition of which he calls the Globos Collection. On its own, the bench and chair can only seat 4 people. However, within their bulbous designs are 8 pouffes that can be used as small ottomans increasing seating capacity to 12.
