You know, industrial designers seem to love conceptualizing what future Sony Ericsson mobiles will look like. Designer Vincent Palicki is just one of many but his design actually looks like it could be made today and fit right in with the SE family.

This KissPhone detects percussion speed, pressure, temperature, and sucking force of the lips, when you kiss it. An artificial mouth on the phone can reproduces same parameters to the kissphone receptor.

This concept by Stefano Casanova is a Windows based mobile phone that can project your desktop to an flat surface. The micro light projector is actually integrated into the LCD so in order to activate it, you have to flip the screen down. Conceptual but interesting.

YUBZ has designed a USB Skype phone for computers and cell phones. For the same price you can also get the YUBZ TALK MOBILE in 10 different colors. It’s designed to attach to most mobile phones.

Fresh and bliss, SaY mobile phone expresses an open-minded attitude. It comes in three cheerful colors. The rubberized body is contrasted with a slightly angled glossy keypad that fit perfectly in the talking position. This design revolves around the charger unit. The eye-catching opening in the middle fulfils two functions: storing the phone and charging it. On the one hand, ETNA fits onto an adapter which is plugged directly into an electrical socket: the phone is charged via induction and an illuminated, colour-coded ring on the charger adapter shows the respective charging status.

Nokia unveiled the Prism collection, its latest range of mobile phones aimed at style-conscious consumers. Just when we thought we’d seen it all in the way of concept cell-phone designs, NEC comes out and surprises us. The company’s Design division has thought up the “tag” ? a phone that has more in common with Gumby than the slick, shiny phones of today. Made of rubbery “shape-memorizing” material, the tag will bend and twist at your command. Forget extra armbands ? the thing is an armband. It’s too bad the tag is just a concept right now, as it would be the perfect phone for the forgetful and the accident-prone. Once NEC gets this into production (no plans right now, apparently), you can bet it’ll have to prove its mettle overseas before it makes it over here. You know, like every other mobile phone ever made.
