Backpack Bicycle Concept

With the rise of environmental issues and a willingness to find solutions to relieve congestion on our city centres, designer planchent increasingly on the development of auxiliary folding bikes, with varying degrees of success. You might have seen foldable bicycles that can be stored away nicely, but I bet you haven’t thought of a backpack bike.

Favourite is an urban style bag that features Philips’ Lumalive textiles which have tiny arrays of LED lights integrated into the fabric. The front of the leather bag features a large piece of crystal mesh able to hold a flexible Lumalive background that can be used to display personalized luminous messages or patterns that are programmed by the user.

Fi-Hi(www.fi-hi.com) presented its novelty bags equipped with speakers and amplifier during CTIA Wireless 2008.

The Fi-Hi bags tout a built-in 3-watt stereo amplifier and water resistant speakers to listen to your favorite tracks without using headphones.

Carga is the brainchild of designer Mauro Bianucci, who made the first bag for himself, but then it caught on after one of his clients wanted to order some.
