Mazda Kazamai

Mazda presents yet another concept car. This time it’s called Kazamai which means “swirling crosswinds” in Japanese. The concept is based on Mazda’s long-term vision for technology development, Sustainable Zoom-Zoom, which aims to provide a unique balance between sporty driving fun and superior environmental and safety performance. Kazamai will be joined at MIAS by the Russian debut of Mazda’s CX-9 SUV, which was crowned 2008 North American Truck of the Year in February.

Jaambaaro pedal car

In many developing countries, ambulances aren’t readily available to bring injured people to medical centers. With that in mind, Benoit Angibaud designed the Jaambaaro, a pedal-powered ambulance that’s designed to help people in rural Africa transport the sick or injured to get medical attention.
The Jaambaaro is literally a pedal-car with a stretcher, driven by two persons pedaling and assisted by electrical power generated from solar energy. Made of salvaged materials, and will hopefully fuel the local economy through localized manufacturing, thus making this vehicle not only sustainable but also fun for the kids.

Backpack Bicycle Concept

With the rise of environmental issues and a willingness to find solutions to relieve congestion on our city centres, designer planchent increasingly on the development of auxiliary folding bikes, with varying degrees of success. You might have seen foldable bicycles that can be stored away nicely, but I bet you haven’t thought of a backpack bike.

Blue-Me portable Vacation

The portable home features a living room and a kitchen complete with an oven, a cot and TV, and most importantly storage. The prefab structure even plugs in to outside power and water sources and if you’re the nature-friendly kinds, perhaps you could bring your own solar panel/ wind/water turbines along as well and enjoy all the comforts of your living room in the middle of nowhere!
