Chanel is one of those luxury brands, that always stuck to their classic aesthetics over the years, while also showing some great innovation.

Karl Lagerfeld never misses an opportunity to surprise. This week in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld presented a poised, elegant and mostly black take on power suiting for Chanel that included this fantastically witty take on the working gal’s briefcase.

Made from paper(vulcanized fibre t2.4) and designed by Ryuji Nakamura, a Tokyo-based architect, Hechima 4 looks light + airy for a chair yet it is a comfortably strong, judging from the way the model relax herself on it. The chair came in 900 x 900 x 750 (W x D x H).

The chair signed Philippe Starck is a tribute to Man Ray and Surrealist movements. The outdoor version is wearing cushions which feared neither UV nor the rain, allowing it to wander between the living room and terrace.

Daimler today has just unveiled the F-CELL Roadster. Literally the roadster is fitted with a 1.2 kW hybrid drive – one that allows the F-CELL to reach a top speed of 15 mph and achieve an operating range of 217 miles. But the roadster is a ‘hybrid’ in a more metaphorical sense as well: drawing design inspiration from a diverse swath of automotive eras. From a design standpoint, however, is where the F-CELL Roadster truly shines, as it manages to blend the overall aura of the original Benz patent motor car with seating and a fiberglass front section both drawn from elements of Formula One racing.
