Asus Ecobook

With the ASUS Ecobook, the computer manufacturer is trying for a laptop that is as friendly to the environment as it looks — ASUS is shooting for the sum of the Ecobook’s parts to be 50% recyclable. To reflect this environmentally-minded design philosophy, the Ecobook is covered with smooth strips of bamboo.

The laptop’s chassis is still undergoing revisions and the picture above does not reflect the final look of the Ecobook. Right now, the Ecobook looks a lot like the leather-covered ASUS S6, but we’re told the final design may appear more like a Macbook.
