If you love basketball and love TV, here’s the perfect combination. The 15″ LCD screen is surrounded by the familiar color and texture of a real NBA basketball with the name of every team that’s made the NBA finals since 1947 embossed on the back. The outer skin is actual basketball leather and branded with the official NBA logo. The clamp-on desk stand with extension arm easily clamps onto any desktop.
Remember that classic Christmas present; a wooden snow sled composed of three pieces of wood and a couple rusty metal skids. Or even the make-shift ones composing of a huge plastic garbage bag? Well, Volkswagen has thought of a way to put those old wooden sleds and make shift ninnies to shame with a series of 8 different rapid departure sleds for kids in various age groups.
Whether for a boy or a girl these spa lights (2 per pack) are the total indulgence we all deserve at the end of a hard day. Pour a glass of wine, climb into the bath and just lie back and unwind. The spa lights give a soft golden glow to the bathroom without the worry that you may set fire to your loofah, that you have when using candles.
This thing is a speaker/light show doodad is called the MobiNote Hipper 100 and you can plug flash drives, iPods and other MP3 players into and it also features a line in and out jack as well. As the music plays back, the lights under the egg shaped dome change color seemingly in tune to the music. Nothing at all hip about the name and it looks very much like the Phillips amBX Light on a smaller and less cool scale.

Just when we thought we’d seen it all in the way of concept cell-phone designs, NEC comes out and surprises us. The company’s Design division has thought up the “tag” ? a phone that has more in common with Gumby than the slick, shiny phones of today. Made of rubbery “shape-memorizing” material, the tag will bend and twist at your command. Forget extra armbands ? the thing is an armband. It’s too bad the tag is just a concept right now, as it would be the perfect phone for the forgetful and the accident-prone. Once NEC gets this into production (no plans right now, apparently), you can bet it’ll have to prove its mettle overseas before it makes it over here. You know, like every other mobile phone ever made.

The Magic Wave Speakers look like a design stolen from Area 51. Inside its green orb are dual built-in stereo speakers. Adjusting the volume is as simple as waving your hand over the orb, and changing the FM radio channel can be done with a flick of your wrist. To top it all off, plugging in your Mp3 player to listen to your tunes creates a multicolored light show. The Magic Wave Speakers are available in black or pink and retail for $19.95.
